Cake decoration can be as simple as applying a buttercream icing, glaze or dusting a stencil with powdered chocolate. Baking and decorating mini cakes is always a fun process. There is no pressure, you can experiment with design and colour and if you’re not happy with the result it really doesn’t matter you can always have another go! These little cakes make superb edible gifts.

What is the difference between a mini cake and a cupcake?

A mini cake is a downsized cake that is good for one person. Unlike cupcake where it’s almost bite sized. Our mini cakes are the size of about 4 cupcakes combined and are circular in shape, however other shapes might be available upon request (example: Heart shape).

Would there be any baking involved?

This workshop mainly covers the aesthetics and the designs are done on a pre-baked mini cake. Not to worry though, there are plenty of baking classes out there and if you are interested, feel free to check with our friendly instructors and they will gladly introduce you to some baking courses.

Do you require a fridge?

Having a fridge at the venue is advantageous as some of the decor items require refrigeration.
